genesishero: (Apocalypse)
There was fire in his footsteps as Evan made his way down the hallways and corridors of the facility that the Brotherhood had been keeping him in. Somewhere in this building, Wolverine was drowning. Somewhere.

He had no idea where to begin, but his first stop seemed to pick itself out for him.

You can only see so much ugliness before you have to FACE it.

Cut for more needless cruelty, and some good old-fashioned character death. )

[And that's all she wrote. NFB and NFI and OOC is awesome. Adapted from the pages of Uncanny X-Force issues 34 and 35, and rife with death and violence, but somehow weirdly less depressing as an endgame than all the other posts before it. I'm so glad to have this done.]
genesishero: (Tough Choices)
My parents were never real.

The red had almost completely gone away, now. Evan was left sitting on the floor in a room that would have been sterile white, if it was clean.

Simulations-- Computer programs.

It wasn't clean. There was still red.

Too much of it.

Cut for more torture. Because trauma, that's why. )

[NFB, NFI, warning for Oh God Let's Make This More Horrifying Shall We? There's no small amount of violence and abuse in this one, I'm serious. Taken from the pages of Uncanny X-Force issues 31-33. Almost done. OOC is welcome.]
genesishero: (Just a Kid From Kansas)
"See there, kid."

It was a distant dream.

"No matter what my old man and his geek friends were selling you, I got the straight dope."

Standing in a strange room, surrounded by people he didn't know. Strangers. Villains.

"Learned the hard way, 'bad guy' is a better side of the coin to land on."

Cut for torture. And murder. And a little more of the first, and then some more of the second. )

[NFB, NFI, sums up Uncanny X-Force issue #30. Trigger warnings for brutal murder and extreme mental torture all over the place, because Remender makes a living by breaking happy things. OOC is welcome.]
genesishero: (Run Away)
Genosha.

Genosha. It was a beautiful word, for such a horrifyingly devastated island. Once upon a time, mutants had been able to live in peace here, going through their day-to-day as normal people. The history of the island hadn't in living memory been peaceful by any stretch of the imagination, but in a world that hated and feared them, mutants had found sanctuary.

Cut for talk of Genocide, and for Bullying, Violence, and Kidnapping. )

[NFB and NFI, and adapted from the pages of Uncanny X-Force issues 26 and 27, the start of the Final Execution storyline. Heads-up now, the posts to come are going to be pretty horrifying and probably triggery as hell to some. OOC is welcome, though!]
