Evan was not best pleased.
Sure, he'd agreed to come back to the school for the field trip that Logan had proposed, in spite of what had happened during the last field trip he'd gone on with the Jean Grey School. Deciding to go on the trip hadn't even really been a big deal. What were the odds that he'd get kidnapped again, after all?
... In Evan's defense, he hadn't been going to that school for long before he left for Fandom.
Either way, the longer the flight to the Savage Land took, the angrier he found himself getting. Why was he here, anyhow? Surrounded by people who had called him 'Kid Apocalypse' even before he'd found out about where he came from. Keeping company with Logan, who had kept that secret from him. Everyone had, hadn't they?
If Evan glared any harder out the window, the flock of geese flying by was going to start on fire.
"Everyone else always knew, didn't they?" He didn't so much as look up as he spoke. Logan had been walking by, he'd been aware of as much, and just talking would be enough to get his attention. "Everyone but me."
( Cut for canon catch-uppery and length, and possible trigger warnings for references to an abusive home. )
[OOC: NFI, NFB for distance, naturally. Taken directly from the pages of Wolverine & the X-Men #25, 27, and 28. Because Evan needs more butt-pinching in his life, okay?]
