Room 330, Thursday Evening
Oct. 3rd, 2013 09:10 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
It had been... well, definitely some kind of week. The very distracted sort of week, in fact, where Evan had alternated between trying to study and trying to work off some of that excess energy that he had all pent up since Monday. He'd even called in on what would have been his first day of work, explaining to his new boss that there was no way he was going to be able to do his job in the middle of all of this pollen.
Calling in pollenated was completely legitimate around here, right?
This evening, he was smack-dab in the middle of 'working it off' mode. His books were all piled up on the other side of the room and he'd cleared a space in the middle of the floor, where he was doing push-ups. Lots and lots and lots of push-ups. Kinda pasty shirtless push-ups. Because, really, what else was there for it?
He was desperately hoping this whole thing would wear off before the visitors could begin arriving to the island tomorrow.
[OOC: Expecting one, but open if anyone wants to visit Evan beforehand.]

Focussing wasn't normally this difficult, was it? And this was an angle he'd never really considered Sholeh from, before. He licked his own lips, and then attempted to turn his gaze back to the reading material in her hands. Book. Book. Book...

Date: 2013-10-04 03:58 am (UTC)She brought the book closer to him, showing him a page she'd marked, as she leaned closer. "It says he traveled here to Vanity Fair, but that's another book too! I'm hopelessly confused!"

Date: 2013-10-04 04:05 am (UTC)Wow, was she ever close.
"... The book they keep talking about is allegory. The places he goes to... they're not actually real places, you know? And a lot of the allegory is... well, his name is Christian. I mean, it's all rather..."
Um.
"Rather..."
Where was he going with this, again?
"Blatant..."

Date: 2013-10-04 04:23 am (UTC)Hormones made for a bit of a mood swing.

Date: 2013-10-04 04:35 am (UTC)"I didn't mean to say that you should be," he replied, cringing slightly. "You're not from Earth, how would you? I just mean, the book that they keep talking about isn't subtle. There are people in it named things like Obstinate and Help and Hypocrisy. There's a city named Destruction and a Valley of Humiliation and..."
He licked his lips, not quite able to look away from hers.
"It's not like they include the whole book in that one."

Date: 2013-10-04 04:52 am (UTC)She huffed, though leaned over and rubbed her cheek against his to show he was forgiven for his accidental slight.

Date: 2013-10-04 05:01 am (UTC)He leaned his face back against hers and smiled. Her hair tickled at his cheek, and she smelled like... well, like herself. It was distracting, at best.
"But not even everyone from Earth pays attention to Christian Allegory..."

Date: 2013-10-04 05:09 am (UTC)Or she was just making words, one of those.
Her head was slightly tilted, baring the side of her neck, her hair tossed over her other shoulder. If Evan looked at the back of her neck, he'd spot a smattering of golden freckles on the skin there.
"I like it..." The book again. Really.

Date: 2013-10-04 05:22 am (UTC)"Y-yeah?"
She liked it, and he was nuzzling his face into the crook of her neck and inhaling.

Date: 2013-10-04 05:35 am (UTC)Her breathing sped up and she found herself resenting the boning of her light corset and the tightness of her high collar. Maybe she should wear clothing more like Zhahar's, light and breathable and so easily moved out of the way....
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 05:38 am (UTC)Which was probably why, in a fit of daring, he murmured "Sorry," and gave her throat an experimental nibble, just above that high collar of hers.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 05:47 am (UTC)"No need for apologies," Sholeh murmured.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 05:56 am (UTC)Well, if he didn't have to apologize, then the best thing to do would be to keep kissing, right? Especially with the way she moved her collar down like that, exposing more skin for him to nip at and appreciate.
"You're so pretty, Sholeh. You are."
So he was going to just keep kissing, okay?
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 06:01 am (UTC)"No, Evan, I'm--ohhhh." Her instinctive denial was cut short by the feeling of his teeth against her neck. That hadn't been something she was prepared for!
...Though if he wanted to do it again, she didn't think she'd mind at all.
"Shouldn't I be...?" Doing something? Anything?
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 06:18 am (UTC)He actually didn't know what they were talking about. He did now, though, that kissing her neck was nice, but he would much rather move around her so that he could kiss her on the mouth.
She wouldn't mind if he did that, right? Because that was exactly what he was moving into position for now, stepping around the chair and then leaning over it to be closer to Sholeh still.

Date: 2013-10-04 06:24 am (UTC)Evan leaned over her and she tipped her face up to meet his, already opening her mouth slightly before their lips even met. A hand rose to hold his cheek and guide his face down to hers.
"Oh, Evan," she breathed.

Date: 2013-10-04 12:52 pm (UTC)A good, proper kiss. Kissing! His girlfriend! They were kissing!
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 10:45 pm (UTC)There was very important kissing to be done.
Such very important kissing also required her to lightly hold his shoulders to make sure he didn't go anywhere. She liked him--and his mouth--exactly where it was.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-04 10:54 pm (UTC)He wanted to be really, really close to her.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-05 12:44 am (UTC)Many fewer. Like...none at all. Just skin to skin and the closeness had been wonderful.
She stretched upwards and she leaned forwards, her hands tentatively sliding over his shoulders to his back, pushing herself that much closer still...
The desk chair tilted forward with her weight, creaking a bit on its pivot.

Date: 2013-10-05 01:17 am (UTC)He hummed softly, to let her know that he was quite happy with the situation as it stood. In case she'd been worried.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-05 03:16 am (UTC)She shifted forward, trying to get closer yet--and the chair finally gave up, toppling over and spilling Sholeh onto the floor.
Or, more accurately, onto Evan.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-05 08:11 pm (UTC)"Whoa... Are you okay?"
Because falling was a bit of a moodkiller.
For... a second or two. And then he found himself keenly aware of the fact that he was shirtless, and his girlfriend was on top of him.
"... Hi."
no subject
Date: 2013-10-06 08:25 am (UTC)And what better way to thank him than by giving him another kiss? Sholeh couldn't think of any!
Kissing in a chair and leaning against one another was nice. Kissing while you were lying on top of someone and they were topless? WAY NICER.
no subject
Date: 2013-10-06 08:53 pm (UTC)She should be. That would be kind of awesome.
And if his fingers tightened a little around the fabric of her dress and clung on, well, maybe that was just his way of letting her know, since his mouth was otherwise occupied.
